Five quiet signs your body is asking for a physio

Pain is the obvious one. But most of the people who walk into the studio have been ignoring smaller signals for months.

Most people wait until pain forces the appointment. By then the story is longer than it needs to be — a stiff shoulder becomes an angry rotator cuff, a niggling hip becomes something that stops you running.

The signals below aren't emergencies. They're the moments where a single session can save you six.

1. You're avoiding a movement without noticing. You've stopped reaching overhead, or you sit down more carefully than you used to. That's information.

2. One side has become the 'good' side. Your body is compensating, and compensation always sends a bill.

3. You wake up stiff and it takes an hour to move well. Occasional is fine. Every morning is worth investigating.

4. Something clicks, catches or gives way — even without pain. Especially without pain.

5. You've been told to 'just rest.' Rest is a tool, not a treatment plan.

None of these are a diagnosis. They're the beginning of one.

This piece is for general information. It isn't a substitute for a proper assessment — if something's bothering you, come in and let's have a look.
